FQAS

What is FQAS?

The Faculty Quality Assurance System, or FQAS, is a Wisconsin Law that establishes the minimum academic, occupational, and teaching requirements for the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). FQAS is an effort to ensure quality education by establishing minimum standards for all of Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges. Each WTCS college is allowed to develop its own processes, procedures and programs to deliver the competencies of FQAS; however, six components must be included: hiring process, credentialing, onboarding, WTCS teaching competencies, mentoring, and evaluation. A comprehensive guide to MATC's FQAS requirements can be found in the Faculty Development Guide (pdf).
