Student Emergency Fund

Compared to students at four-year colleges, technical college students are more likely to be from low-income households, first-generation students, and attend part-time while working or taking care of children. More often they may be single parents or have a disability. They may be at risk for a one-time financial emergency affecting their ability to stay in school - a job loss, ill child, house fire, unexpected tragedy - all things that cause a student to drop out.
