Quality Review

Quality Review

All technical diploma and associate degree programs participate in annual quality review activities as part of the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Quality Review Process (QRP), a continuous improvement cycle designed to strengthen programs. WTCS supports QRP by providing a community of practice and an interactive visualization of program performance data. QRP uses program performance data reported to WTCS to benchmark and improve individual program performance and student success. Focus areas include enrollment, equity, course completion, retention, graduation, job placement, transfer and student learning assessment.

All programs participate in annual QRP activities, whether a comprehensive review, action planning or a monitoring report responding to program performance metrics and updating activities completed during the year. Lead faculty discuss QRP Action Plans with Advisory Committees and provide evidence of the program’s required QRP engagement by the end of each academic year. Faculty demonstrate participation in program evaluation as part of their annual review. Quality Planning and Assessment staff support faculty engagement in QRP, monitor completion of required activities, archive evidence of engagement and provide updates to WTCS and MATC leadership as requested.
