Becoming and Belonging showcases the third year of development for the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) Community Art Collection.
We often seek to make meaning of the world. Becoming reflects a process of rapid and significant change during our lives, moving through phases from one state of being to another. Becoming includes the idea of being present and knowing oneself, engaging with the joys, complexities and challenges of everyday life.
Works in this collection were created from the artists' individual perspectives, premised in their personal observations, and steeped in concepts of community and connection. Join us in reflecting upon their works and celebrating their own visual representations manifest in Becoming and Belonging.
