Transcripted Credit
Courses are delivered at the high school, duplicating MATC competencies, curriculum, assessments and resources. Students can earn dual credit at the secondary and post-secondary level, but must earn a “C” or better to receive MATC credit.
High school instructors are trained, certified and mentored by MATC faculty. Transcripted credit agreements are transferable to other Wisconsin technical colleges and may transfer to four-year universities.
Students
HOW AND WHEN YOU GET THERE IS ALL UP TO YOU.
Transcripted credit agreements allow you to take MATC courses at your high school and earn both MATC transcripted credit and high school credit for free.
Benefits to taking Transcripted Credit classes:
- Earn credit towards high school graduation AND college!
- Save money and time towards a 2 or 4 year college degree
- All credits are transferable within the Wisconsin Technical College System and University of Wisconsin Campuses along with most private Universities
- Access to MATC Student Support Services
Already taken a Transcripted Credit class?
- If you have taken a Transcripted Credit class and want to see if the MATC credits can be transferred to another college, make sure to request your official MATC transcript. Learn more about transcript requests here.
- If you have taken an MATC Transcripted Credit class and plan to attend MATC after high school graduation, the MATC credit you have earned will show up on your MATC transcript. Once you have applied and are admitted to your program, talk with your MATC Pathway advisor about if/how the transcripted credit earned may meet a degree requirement for your program.
