How to prepare during your senior year

Now that you've chosen direct admission to MATC, there are a few things you have to do to get ready to start your college career!

Checklist for next steps

  1. Apply for financial aid early. Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, is an essential first step because it will determine your federal financial aid. The deadline to fill out the 2024-25 FAFSA is June 30, 2025. Apply here: FAFSA (link)
  2. Pick your Pathway and program. MATC is organized into academic and career pathways. Start by selecting a Pathway and then your program (learn more about Pathways) You'll meet with a Pathway advisor who will help you select courses and start or finish any additional program requirements.
  3. Register for classes or attend a Registration Jam. After you meet with your Pathway advisor, you'll register for classes and make any changes based on your program requirements.
  4. Senior Signing Day. Kick off your MATC journey during this fun-filled event for the whole family.

What does my future look like after MATC?

MATC grads have many options after MATC — go right into the workforce, transfer to a four-year college or university, or a little bit of both. About 90% of graduates are employed or furthering their education six months after graduation.
