Private and Homeschool Students

Start College Now is limited to public school students. However, students attending private high schools may choose to participate in dual enrollment courses; students should talk with their high school counselor. Private school participation in dual enrollment courses at MATC is at the discretion of the school. Some private high schools will agree to pay for certain MATC courses with a MOU agreement in place about what costs the school will cover, while other private high schools will not cover any MATC tuition. Students do still have the option to self-pay for their tuition. The list of potential classes for Start College Now students (link) is a good starting point.

Homeschool students age 16 and older may choose to take dual credit classes at MATC. Homeschool students are responsible for all costs associated with their MATC classes and must meet any course prerequisites. Please contact dualcredit@matc.edu or call 414-297-8812 to let us know what type of classes you are interested in. If students are sixteen years of age and meet course prerequisites, they may enroll in MATC coursework.
